⏱️ Seizure Logging
Once PawCodex is installed, you can start a seizure timer directly from your iPhone lock screen using a Live Activity widget — no unlocking required. On Android, a persistent notification shortcut keeps the timer one tap away. We designed this specifically so you can act immediately without fumbling with your phone.
PawCodex supports grand mal (tonic-clonic), focal, absence, cluster, and status epilepticus classifications. You can also add free-text notes to describe what you observed, which is valuable context for your vet and for AI analysis.
Yes. You can add a historical seizure event by tapping "Add event" and choosing a past date and time. You can enter an estimated duration and any notes you recall. These historical entries are included in AI analysis the same as real-time logs.
At 5 minutes, PawCodex automatically sends emergency alerts to all caregivers on your pet's profile. A second alert fires at 10 minutes. These alerts use Apple Critical Alerts on iOS (which bypass silent mode) and high-priority notifications on Android. A seizure lasting 5 minutes or more is considered a veterinary emergency.
💊 Medications
PawCodex comes pre-loaded with therapeutic blood level ranges for the most common veterinary AEDs including Phenobarbital, Potassium Bromide, Levetiracetam (Keppra), Zonisamide, and Imepitoin. You can also add any custom medication not in our list.
Medication doses are scheduled on fixed UTC intervals — not clock times. This means if you travel across time zones, the dosing interval is preserved correctly. The display converts to your local time, but the underlying schedule never shifts. This is intentional and clinically important for AEDs where consistent intervals matter.
Yes. For each medication, you can record blood level test results with the date drawn. PawCodex will display whether the result falls within the therapeutic range for that drug and track it over time alongside your seizure history — useful context for your vet at every appointment.
AI Analysis
Basic pattern analysis unlocks after 30 days of logs (or once you have at least 5 logged seizure events, whichever comes first). Deeper trigger correlation analysis requires approximately 60 days of data to be statistically meaningful. The more consistently you log, the more accurate the insights become.
The confidence score (shown as a percentage) reflects how strongly a potential trigger correlates with seizure events in your pet's specific log history. A score of 78% means that factor was present before 78% of recorded seizures. It is not a clinical diagnosis — it is a signal worth discussing with your vet. Low-confidence triggers (<40%) are shown but flagged as weak correlations.
No. Your pet's health data is not used to train AI models without your explicit consent. AI analysis is generated fresh for your pet's specific log data each time you request it. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle data.
🔒 Account & Data
You can export a vet-ready PDF report for any date range directly from the app. A full data export (CSV of all raw events and medication logs) is available from Account Settings → Export Data. We believe your pet's health data belongs to you and we make it easy to take it with you.
You can request account deletion from Account Settings → Delete Account. Your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days. This action cannot be undone, so we recommend exporting your data first. Alternatively, contact support@pawcodex.com and we will process the deletion for you.
Yes. Your PawCodex account syncs across all your devices. Sign in with the same account on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device and all your pet's data will be available in real time.
